A few months ago, as you may recall, Carfection set out to find out if the Ford Focus RS was so easy to drift that even the host’s mother could manage it. The results were as entertaining as they were enlightening. But this latest video goes one step further. Only by “step,” we mean “generation.”
For National Grandparents Day just the other day, the video crew from Donut Media invited some Ford engineers along with their grandparents to see if the elders could also drift the 350-horsepower hot hatch with the trick differential.
As one engineer put it, “you’re not pushing the car hard enough unless you hit a cone or a barrel.” Or in the words of another: “Grandpa, that is the most fun I have ever had!” That’s glowing praise indeed coming from someone who works with cars like this on a regular basis, and you can see what she’s talking about in the video below.
