BMW Enthusiast Parks E30 M3 In Living Room To Escape Hurricane Matthew

One BMW enthusiast showed just how much he loves his E30 M3 over the weekend by placing it into his living room to escape the fury of hurricane Matthew.

Florida resident Randy simply opened up the large double-doors of his house and parked the M3 right in the entrance way, which was also the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with his pride and joy.

Given the desirability and value of pristine E30 M3s, we don’t blame Randy for wanting to keep the car safe.

Well kept examples can fetch in excess of $100,000, which by the way is significantly more than the $64,000 starting price of a brand new M3.

The one that started the M3 mythos features a naturally-aspirated 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 192 hp and 170 lb-ft, a 5-speed manual gearbox, rear wheel drive and a limited slip differential. It was once named by Automobile Magazine as one of the greatest drivers cars ever made, and is still considered by many to be the purest M3 ever.

If I ever have the opportunity to design my own house, my cars will always be parked in the living room. I’m not even kidding

If I could I would park my car in the bedroom.

If I had a car like that? I would sell it.. Time to visit the future

Looks like a “sneaky” ad for Michelin tires. The product placement is superb…

I had a red Honda CBR in college. It lived in the kitchen / dining area during the cold winter months.

    • europeon

You’re not the only one. I had an F4i myself which I carried five flights of stairs up to my apartment one winter.

      • T_Cake

That was the one – red with black wings F4i. Great bike.

        • europeon

Yeah, it was a great bike for the day. Mine was the same black with the red top, too bad they didn’t had the red/blue with white CBR letters scheme they had on the F4, that was amazing.

    Ummm yeah.

Nothing wrong with doing this lol

Anyone who’s lived in Florida knows that if you really love your car you keep it garaged, no matter what. The stuff in the rain will leave deposits on your paint, unfiltered water used to wash it will absolutely destroy a black car, and, if near the coast, a constant barrage of sea salt and muck in the breeze does it no favors either.

  • TheHake

Why is this all over the internet? Lots of people in FL and SC had their cars and motorcycles in their houses during Matthew. And by the way, if I had an E30 M3, it would ALWAYS be in my house!

  • Kash

Most people just store vehicles in a garage…

How is the floor sporting this weight? Maybe there’s no basement?

My first E30 M3 was indeed “SterlingSilber” just like that one.
