Although Gymkhana Nine wasn’t as phenomenal as it perhaps could have been, the video did perfectly showcase Ken Block’s impeccable driving skills and his potent Ford Focus RS RX rally car.
Now thanks to Ford, we have the opportunity to experience Gymkhana Nine in virtual reality and 360-degree video.
Beyond some of the awesome driving stunts which the video provides, it also offers a behind-the-scenes look at how some of the clip’s most mind-blowing scenes were organized and filmed, none more so than Block drifting just feet away from a moving train.
For those with a VR headset, the video can be viewed through the FordVR application available on iOS and Android. For the rest of us, the 360-degree YouTube video will suffice.
In the coming weeks, part two of the Gymkhana Nine virtual reality experience will be released.
