A bright red Ford Mustang GT mysteriously crashed outside the entrance to a dollar store in New Caney, Texas back in early August.

Somehow news of the crash slipped through our fingers at the time, probably because we got sidetracked by all the other recent Mustang ‘incidents‘. Nevertheless, the video below shows the Mustang propped up against a pair of steel posts just inches from the doors to the store.

According to the woman behind the camera (filming in portrait mode…), Jeanna Edwards, the crash occurred at around 8 pm and the female driver of the vehicle appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. Additionally, Edwards claims that she overheard the passenger claiming to have purchased the vehicle earlier that day and that the brakes on the Mustang failed, causing the crash.

Halfway through the video, the occupants of the Mustang can be seen getting into a verbal argument with another woman who claims the vehicle almost hit her nephew.

While the exact circumstances surrounding the crash aren’t entirely clear, the extensive damage sustained to the Mustang is pretty obvious.

Based on the damage suffered to the car and the steel posts, it appears to have crashed into the right-most post first before coming to a rest on the second. These two impacts have severely damaged the muscle car’s front fascia and inevitably, much of its undertray.
