Vin Diesel revealed the release date on the next FF movie on his Facebook page, writing “The trailer for F8 is going to blow your mind… New York City December 11th. You will see why there was tension, you will understand the intensity.”

The “tension” Diesel is referring to is believed to be about Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, after the duo apparently clashed on set. Evidently, Diesel thinks this tension will be reflected through the action of the film.

While we’re just a couple months out from seeing the trailer, not much is known about the plot. What we do know is that some rather insane cars will be featured throughout the film. Additionally, the eighth installment in the franchise will include scenes filmed in New York, Ohio and Iceland, meaning we can expect some ice-related stunts that we’ve never seen before.

The film will hit theatres on April 14, 2017 and we followed up by two further movies.
