While North American car fans have been kept busy with the 2017 NACTOY finalists and the Green Car of the Year award, on the other side of the pond, women have selected their favorite vehicle.

Their top pick for this year was the Jaguar F-Pace that was voted ‘Supreme Winner’ at the 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year Awards, while also collecting the Women’s World SUV/Crossover of the Year award, to the delight of the JLR’s Head of Global PR, Fiona Pargeter.

The awards of Supreme Winner and Best SUV/Crossover in the 2016 Women’s Car of the Year Awards is a great achievement and a true highlight in the continuing F-Pace success story. The combination of beautiful design, everyday usability and unrivalled driving experience set the F-Pace apart from the competition and is attracting new customers to the Jaguar brand worldwide“, Pargeter said.

Selected a pool of 294 cars, which were nominated by 17 judges from 14 countries, the Jaguar F-Pace ended up on the master list, from where the judges picked six category winners. The British SUV follows hot on the heels of last year’s winner, the Volvo XC90, which managed to capture both top prizes as well.
