Classic Porsche 356 Clocks A Million Miles, Looks Ready For A Million More

There aren’t many cars that have surpassed the one million mile mark on their odometers, let alone looking that good. This Porsche 356 is a living testament of reliable engineering, meticulous maintenance – and a whole lotta driving.

The story of this very used car becomes even more impressive when you learn that the vast majority of all these miles were driven by a single person. Guy Newmark received his 356 as a graduation present from his father almost 50 years ago and he never stopped daily driving it for the last 920,000 miles.

It wouldn’t be possible for the car to reach this kind of mileage being in such a beautiful condition if Newmark didn’t service the car every 3,000 miles, even using the same mechanic for over 40 years!

During this long relationship, Newmark had to rebuild the engine three times to keep ‘Blu’ on the road, as he confessed on an older Petrolicious video. With the million-mile mark being surpassed this year, Porsche decided to congratulate him by sharing his story again in the first of the two videos that follow.
