We’ve been waiting for a long time to find out what a Ferrari 488 GTB can do on a track and it seems that the time has arrived.

After watching an example posting a lap time at both the Nurburgring and the short Hockenheim from the Sport Auto guys, UK’s Evo magazine bring us a video with the Ferrari 488 GTB in their track of choice, the Anglesey circuit.

Many purists mourned the passing of the 458 as it was the last of the naturally aspirated V8s to be used in a Ferrari, with the Italian supercar maker switching over to turbocharging for its successor.

Their concern had a very strong case as the 458’s 4.5-litre V8 was simply a gem, producing one of the world’s greatest mechanical symphonies but when the 488 GTB came out, it became apparent that the new twin-turbo 3.9-litre was better in every known metric, even sounding as good as a Ferrari should.

We never really had the chance to see how fast the 488 GTB was though around a track, up until now, and with Evo having already timed the hottest performance heroes in the same track, the time has come to find out just how fast this beauty really is.
