New Peugeot 3008 Starts From £21,795 In UK, Brings Standard i-Cockpit

Coming to take on the Nissan Qashqai, the latest Peugeot 3008 will go on sale in the United Kingdom this December.

Peugeot’s minivan series-turned into compact crossover starts from £21,795 ($26,895) for the Active trim level, which includes the brand’s i-Cockpit with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, plus an 8.0-inch capacitive touchscreen, electric parking brake, MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, DAB radio, and Bluetooth.

The entry-level grade also has automatic dual-zone climate control, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, tinted rear windows, and 17-inch alloy wheels, among others. These add up to the standard safety and security equipment that includes Emergency Braking Assistance, Automatic Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, and Distance Alert.

Kicking off from £23,595 ($29,115) is the Allure model that adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a host of  exterior upgrades, blue ambient lighting, Mistral Piedimonte leather effect and cloth seat trim, 3D Connected Navigation, TomTom Live updates with a 3-year subscription, and voice recognition.

Next in the lineup is the GT Line grade, which can be had from £25,495 ($31,460), adding self-leveling headlights with LED tech, i-Cockpit Amplify, smartphone charging plate, contrast stitching, special floor mats, Tramontane black roof lining and Mistral Imila leather effect and cloth seat trim with Aikinite double stitch detail. Additionally, this model also features several exterior enhancements on top of the lesser variants and brings GT Line emblems, special grille, sportier front bumper design, twin exhaust effect, and a different pattern for the 18-inch wheels.

The Peugeot 3008 GT concludes the range starting from £32,995 ($40,715). It adds 19-inch wheels, wheel arch extensions, GT logos, panoramic opening glass roof, Nappa leather, 8-way electrically adjustable-driver’s seat with massage and memory functions, keyless entry and push-button start, smart electric tailgate, and adaptive cruise control, with stop function.

Depending on the selected grade, the French crossover can be had with a 130 PS (128 HP) and 165 PS (163 HP) petrol engine, available with a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission, and four diesel units whose power range between 100 PS (99 HP), 120 PS (118 HP), 150 PS (148 HP) and 180 PS (177 HP).

Hmmmmm? A lot of chrome accents and somewhat forced styling both front and rear, makes this an impressive, yet busy looking product. I’m not sure what’s going on with the tail lights, and the heavily sculptured front end is a little crude. What does impress, is a ‘concept’ looking instrument panel, if anything is going to make a sale, it’s the interior….brilliant!

They really can’t do good interiors.

  • Love the interior but the exterior is way, way too busy.
