Rider Comes Face To Face With Ladder On Freeway, Crash Ensues

The name of this clip pretty much says it all as there are very few things more scary than crashing your motorcycle on the freeway.

Thankfully, moments before the fall, the rider had time to slow down seen as how the pickup truck in front of him also lowered its speed in order to go around a ladder that was just sitting there in the middle of the lane.

Where the ladder came from exactly is impossible to determine, but whichever vehicle lost it did so probably way before the red pickup came up on it – judging by how much time the driver had to slow down and go around it.

You could argue that the rider might have had time and room to avoid running into the ladder, had he simply followed the pickup into the next lane, or better yet by just putting more distance between himself and the car in front.

That was an incredibly long wait to find out that the ladder wasn’t in the back of that red Tundra…

i read on another site that lane-splitting would have given him a bit more time to see ahead and react.

Maybe I don’t understand, but traffic is slowing suddenly and moving to the left. Why did he move to the right, it’s as if he aimed for it. Did the bike pull to to the right??

  • Craig

Whenever someone suddenly moves one way or the other within their lane – I assume there is a reason. I would have followed that trucks lead. [If at all possible – and it was in this case]

It’s only me or no one noticed that cars continue to pass by without stopping to help the fallen guy?
