A dirt bike rider went for the ride of his life in West Midlands, UK, before being spotted by a police helicopter.
During his rampage, the man was seen violating several traffic laws, popping wheelies, going off-road, swerving in and out of traffic, and doing other GTA-style stunts that placed people’s lives in danger.
In fact, the only things missing from comparing the biker’s actions with the popular video game are better graphics and the lack of grenades, missile launchers and wanted stars popping out on the screen once every few seconds.
The bird had no problem keeping up with the rider, who was eventually caught up by ground units and identified as 23-year old Fabrice Tirant. The man was taken into custody and sentenced to 8 months in jail, after being charged with reckless riding.
“He was observed riding dangerously along residential streets, at speeds clearly faster than the traffic around him, under and overtaking vehicles at speed, pulling wheelies, and tearing across parkland. His riding was reckless, he put members of the public at risk“, said Sergeant Dave Lilwall.
