According to a study conducted by Autodata, the second-generation Ford Focus tops the list of most common vehicles serviced in garages.

The list was compiled based on the number of service schedules accessed by Autodata UK and European subscribers, as more than 67% of workshops in the UK have used Autodata’s latest online platform in the past 12 months.

“One of the many benefits of Autodata’s continuous evolution is the increasingly high levels of industry intelligence it provides,” stated company CEO Rod Williams. “It allows us to see where the demand for content exists so that we can provide the most in-demand and up-to-date information to workshops.”

While this year’s top 20 list also includes the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Ford Fiesta, VW Passat, Renault Megane, VW Polo and Audi Q3, it’s the following 10 that stand as the most serviced vehicles in 2016:

1. Ford Focus [04-11] 2. Vauxhall Astra H [04-13] 3. Peugeot 206 [98-09] 4. Ford Transit [06-] 5. Opel/Vauxhall Corsa D [06-14] 6. VW Transporter T5 [03-15] 7. VW Golf V [03-08] 8. Peugeot 307 [01-08] 9. BMW 3-Series E90 [05-14] 10. Renault Clio II [98-12]

As for the list-topping second-generation Ford Focus, it’s not the first time it’s been named most serviced vehicle of the year. There are currently over 1.5 million Focus models on UK roads alone, which makes sense since it’s long been one of the best selling C-segment cars in Europe.
