If you believe Ferrari, the potent LaFerrari hybrid hypercar doesn’t have an all-electric mode like the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.

However, two years ago, an intriguing video emerged of a black LaFerrari driving in absolute silence at a track day, sparking suggestions that the model could indeed run solely on battery power. Now, footage has emerged of one of the world’s most famous LaFerraris also running in this mode.

Filmed at the Joe Macari dealership in the UK, it shows Jay Kay’s famous Kermit Green hypercar trundling through the parking lot without any sound, clearly running on nothing but its small battery pack and electric motor.

According to some, this secret all-electric mode has only been made available to select LaFerrari customers and is difficult to access. Ferrari apparently designed it to allow for easy parking, but never publicized the feature as its range is extremely limited and no match for the emissions-free running of the P1 and 918 Spyder.
