Nissan has embarked on a marketing adventure through the desert to promote some of their products. After seeing the Navara put through its paces, it’s now time to take a look at the X-Trail.

However, this is not your typical X-Trail, as the car company has removed its wheels and fitted it with a set of tracks, which seem almost perfect for the occasional dune bashing, making sure that the vehicle doesn’t get sand stuck between its teeth.

Nissan doesn’t provide much background on the build, but it was apparently created for the Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Center, in Saudi Arabia, where it is on display, and promoted through social media. Besides the obvious modifications, it also sports a special ‘dirt’ wrap.

Don’t expect to see it in showrooms, though, as the Nissan X-Trail Desert Warrior is nothing more than a marketing tool for the brand’s Middle Eastern branch.
