McLaren 720S Mega-Gallery Will Leave You Sweating [94 Pics]

McLaren has just released a comprehensive gallery of its second-generation Super Series model, the 720S, offering us an even more in-depth look at the entirely new model.

Compared to the 650S that the new vehicle replaces, both the exterior and interior have been redesigned to create a supercar that looks like nothing else before it. It divides opinion like few cars on the market and the longer we look at it, the more we like it.

It isn’t just from a visual standpoint where the 720S is unique to every other model in McLaren’s range. At the heart of the car is a new carbon fiber monocoque as well as a redesigned twin-turbo V8 that now displaces 4.0-liters. All up, it delivers 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque and sends the 720S to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3 seconds and through to a top speed of 212 mph (341 km/h).

Other special touches to the 720S include its advanced Variable Drift Control system, a revised electro-hydraulic power steering system and even more potent carbon ceramic brakes.

  • FRONT END IS NOT GROWING ON ME. I THINK THE REAR LOOKS GOOD.

      You said it.

the rear looks great, inside too. but I still cant get past the head light design/front. I would not buy one if i could afford to, id buy something else if i could. I wouldn’t want something that I didn’t like in my garage that I paid a ton of money for that I couldn’t stand to look at. That said, the F1 and P1 are still kings.

The game has been moved along aerodynamically. I love the radical but artistic looks. Art for the sake of speed, though. Marvelous.

yep, well aware, and they aren’t the first to do so. i still would not want the raccoon lights sitting in my garage. I would buy something else before this.

      • Six Thousand Times

        Fair enough.

  • b_digital

It looks like a 90’s Camaro lol

  • SteersUright

Cool from some angles, not so pretty from others. Like all McLarens for me, stunning performance was clearly the priority with beautiful design coming in second.

  • Denzel

The design on this is brilliant if I had the cash o think I would go bold with a yellow and carbon around.

  • An Existing Person

The front end has certainly grown on me, but the key to it looking great is the choice of color. Darker colors would better hide the black socket around the lights, while lighter colors would only highlight them. Aside from that, this car is a work of art to stare at.

  • Well designed, looks very mature!

i like the front end…its got some personality to me..they should have made it a bit cleaner looking…at first glance the rear end looks unfinished with the motor being easily visible…its the busy interior that i am not a fan of…they could have gone for a more understated timeless look
