Plug-In Hybrid DS7 Crossback E-Tense To Offer 300HP And 37 Miles Of EV Range

DS, the premium brand of PSA, revealed the first details of the plug-in hybrid E-tense version of its upcoming DS7 Crossback along with more info on its future electrification strategy.

Set to arrive in spring 2019, the DS7 Crossback E-tense will offer an all-electric range of 37 miles (60km) without compromising the vehicle’s dynamic capabilities.

The PHEV powertrain will combine a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol THP with 200hp and two 107hp electric motors mounted on each axle and a 13kWh battery pack through an eight-speed automatic gearbox located transversely between the petrol engine and the front electric motor.

Together with the plug-in hybrid DS7 Crossback’s details, the French company repeated that a new DS model will be launched each year, only now it says that all of them will be available with an electrified version in their respective ranges.

DS expects that its future hybrid or all-electric models will represent more than a third of its total sales by 2025.

“DS is entering the electrified vehicles scene. By 2025, more than a third of DS vehicles sold will be hybrid or all-electric,” said Eric Apode, DS Product and Development director. “The performance models will be provided by the hybrid versions and the first in the series is DS 7 CROSSBACK E-Tense – the DS vision of hybrid power with 300hp and a 60km electric range”.

The back looks too much like the Audi Q7.

I think it looks like the Mazda cx-9 from the rear.

    • Tinky-Winky

How?! Audi Q7 doesn’t have that nice chrome connecting and surrounding the lights, it just has two bland rectangles. Where the heck do you, people, take all these comparsions from?

      • seriously

they take them out of their ass; those are the worst posts the ones that say cars look like a car that dont look anything like. All cars have headlights, tailights, and a basic profiel. The problem is there are few crossovers that really stand out this car in no way looks like a Q7 its far to rounded and the Q7s lines are far to distinct and sharp to look like this car in fact all Audis look that way now. This car in no way looks like a CX9 other than it being rounded and modern looking like MOST crossovers. If you

If you can honestly say the picture below looks anything like this Citroen you have on beer goggles….and the layout???? Yes they both have rear tail lights and a hatch….
