What does it feel like to get behind the wheel of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon at the drag strip? Wonder no more, as the following video shows exactly what it’s like.

Captured by Winding Road, the POV clip includes multiple runs down the drag strip and shows off the Demon’s ferocious launch control system as the straight-line beast rockets off the line with almost no wheel spin.

According to Dodge, the Demon can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 9.65 seconds at 140 mph (225 km/h), enough to leave hypercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 for dead.

Helping to make the Demon so brisk off the line is an updated 2.7-liter supercharger and higher boost pressure. It also receives new pistons, rods and valve train, lifting power from the 707 hp of the Hellcat to 840 hp. Additionally, the muscle car runs an updated TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission and an upgraded torque converter.
