The new Audi RS5 is the undisputed king of the range, but apparently there’s a feeling that the distance between it and the S5 is a little too close for comfort.

Sure, it has almost 100hp and 100Nm of torque more than the S5 but strong straight-line performance isn’t the only thing buyers of this type of vehicle are looking for.

Add to this the fact that the interior of the new RS5 also looks like a very well equipped version of a lesser model and you’ll get where this nagging is coming from.

Still, on the outside the new Audi RS5 looks like a proper RS model, featuring 15mm wider fenders, a more aggressive front grille and lots of air intakes to make sure that your new Audi won’t be confused with the neighbor’s diesel coupe.

CarWow compares the two siblings and tries to find out if the Audi RS5 is really worth the extra money over its already fast and capable S5.
