There’s a new Jaguar XJR in town and it packs 567hp (575 PS), which is enough to propel it to very high speeds indeed. Jaguar’s new flagship requires just 4.2 seconds for the 0-60mph procedure (0-100km/h in 4.4) and will continue accelerating up until it hits 186mph (300km/h), which by the way requires just 44 seconds of wide-open throttle from a standstill.

In order to demonstrate just how easy and comfortable the new XJR575 remains under full acceleration, the company organized an interview with Wayne Burgess, Jaguar Design’s Studio Director in the car’s back seat while doing a top speed run.

The fastest member of the new 2018 XJ family features a slightly more aggressive exterior, courtesy of the different front bumper, twin bonnet louvers, front air intakes, fatter side sills, a retractable rear spoiler and a set of 20-inch gloss black alloys among others.

The interior is dressed in diamond-quilter leather and features the obligatory 575 badges in all the right places. There is also a new infotainment system that features a 10-inch touchscreen display with 4G-WiFi capability and a wide range of driver assistance systems as well.
