A Lamborghini has been involved in a fatal chain reaction accident in India.
According to NDTV, the accident occurred near Noida Sector 135 on Saturday when the driver of a Maruti Suzuki Dzire was attempting to overtake the unidentified Lamborghini. For unknown reasons, the Dzire swerved to the left and stuck the high-end exotic.
The Lamborghini also swerved to avoid the collision but it hit a Maruti Eeco which was traveling next to it. Unfortunately, this proved fatal as the force of the impact was enough to send the Eeco out of control. The van then rolled over before crashing into some trees alongside the road.
The driver of the van, a man in his late 20’s, was reportedly killed instantly.
Police eventually caught up to the driver of the Dzire and they were arrested. There’s no word on what charges the driver is facing but accidents that involve fatalities usually have some pretty severe consequences.
While the accident is tragic, local police said a majority of accidents on that expressway are caused by speeding and failure to maintain lane discipline.
