Eighteen months ago, Monster Energy conjured their inner Ken Block with the creation of #Battledrift, a high octane drifting video featuring the Mustang RTR of Vaughn Gitten Jr and Daigo Saito’s Lamborghini Murcielago.
Now, the second #Battledrift has been released and alongside the returning rear-wheel drive Murcielago, it also features the custom 1,400 hp Nissan GT-R of Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni. Additionally, a third driver is featured, Casey Currie and his 550 hp Pro2 Pro Lite race truck.
Whereas the first video in the drifting series took place on the mountain roads of Japan, #Battledrift 2 is set in a dockside industrial area and combines all the remarkable driving and cinematography we’ve come to expect from videos like these.
Discussing the clip, Daigo said “It’s a fantastic project; and I’m excited that Monster Energy has given us the opportunity to make another episode. We had a lot of fun filming the first edit on the mountain roads in Japan, and now the contrast of the dockside industrial setting is great.”
