Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss For Sale In Germany

A rare Mercedes-Benz mightn’t typically have car collectors and enthusiasts drooling like a limited-run Ferrari but the SLR Stirling Moss is no typical vehicle to wear the three-pointed star.

Released in 2009 as a send-off to the SLR McLaren supercar, the Stirling Moss features an overhauled design inspired by the iconic 300 SLR raced by Stirling Moss.

Only 75 examples of the limited-edition supercar were created and to order one from the factory, you already had to own the regular SLR. Fortunately, a used example has hit the market and is available for anyone to purchase, as long as you have a huge bank account.

As with most units, this Stirling Moss is painted silver but unlike most, has a set of black and chrome wheels to give it that extra race car vibe.

Listed for sale from Semco Cars in Munich on James Edition it has just 475 km on the clock and is a jewel for any Mercedes aficionado. While no asking price has been publicized, we suspect it’s worth every cent the seller wants.

Buy it ,and make it your daily lol….

  • Wandering_Spirit

The standard SLR is a piece of art. Another one of those Benz models that don’t look like they are made for the rich elderly or people who are physically young and mentally senile. One of the few models of the brand i’d like to own. This one though…looks like it’s been deprived of some limbs.

    • SteersUright

I prefer this one. The standard SLR looks dated, particularly the interior. I find this design still looks fresh, inside and out, and likely will continue to age better than the standard car.

      • Wandering_Spirit

I never object on tastes. I think every set of eyes sees things in different ways. But I think you’re right in the sense that in the future it’ll become and very interesting model for collectors.

    • Vassilis

Not quite good to drive though.

      • Wandering_Spirit

That I don’t know. Never drove one. But I saw a few in Taipei and they look good

  • Finkployd

Better not drive that under heavy rain :/

  • Vassilis

Really cool car. Don’t remember if it’s any good though.

  • john1168

    That’s awesome!

  • nastinupe

Because of this I no longer have a desire to drive this car. Kanye West ruined it for me.

  • Romanovich

    For UK weather…

  • Richard Sloman

When the SLR owners club went on driving events, if there were any Stirling Moss Editions, the owner would have his standard SLR transported in a truck just in case it rained… Rich people problems…
