With 612 horses and a whopping 850 Nm of torque driving all four of its wheels, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S is, on paper, quicker than both the Audi RS7 and the BMW M6.

Yet, this stock E63 S is about to challenge tuned versions of its rivals: the RS7 is packing a GoshaTurboTech GTT750 power kit, whereas the M6 is fitted with Evotech’s Stage 2 kit, and they pack an identical 750 PS each. This automatically makes the Mercedes the underdog – or does it?

First up for the Merc is the Audi, which doesn’t get off to the best of starts, yet climbs back into the race quite quickly, making this a pretty close affair in the end. We won’t spoil it for you, but there was about a second between the two cars as they ran past the 1/2 mile finish line.

The race against the M6 was even closer and was decided by less than half a second. Keep in mind, unlike the Audi, the M6 doesn’t feature an all-wheel drive system to balance the terms of the duel with the E63 off the line.
