New Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Is The Perfect Porsche GT

You don’t have to have a particularly good taste to acknowledge that the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo looks better than the normal Panamera.

The Sport Turismo’s longer roofline does wonders for the design, which is now more balanced and even more appealing than the already much improved Panamera, not to mention the obvious benefits in practicality.

This doesn’t mean though that the Sport Turismo can rival models like the Mercedes E-Class Estate in this area though, only that it adds an additional layer of usability into one very attractive package.

And if you get the range-topping Turbo version, you’ll also treat yourself with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that makes 542hp. 0-60mph comes in 3.4 seconds (0-100km/h in 3.6) while the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo won’t stop accelerating until it hits 189mph (304km/h).

The cabin is easily one of the most impressive environments you can find on the market right now, with high-definition displays mixed with high-quality materials and an unmistakably sporty character.

    I thought Porsche did a great job of answering the more-than-two-people-transport question with the Cayenne. I never understood what they were trying to prove with the Pananmera…other than affluent people will buy an ugly car if you slap a Porsche label on it.

      My wife has a torn meniscus so getting in and out of a SUV is not pleasant for her; we also transport elderly parents on occasion. The Panamera is an ideal automobile for both these cases if you want to travel in comfort. Plus, it handles well. SUVs are not always the answer, in fact, there are too damn many of them on the road as it is.

    I’d rather have the 6GT over this, question is will BMW make an M version to rival the topline Turbo referenced in this article???

    I work at the Circuit where this release is taking place. The new porsche tossed me around the track better than a mercedes-benz AMG GTS, it’s as good a grand tourer as he speaks.

    This is not a beautiful car. Its a nice looking station wagon and like all station wagons, it will never be beautiful. I think the current Panamera looks much, much better than the last car in the regular non-wagon form.
