Twelve Porsches Set Ablaze At Hamburg Dealership

Twelve Porsche vehicles have been set ablaze and destroyed at a company dealership in Hamburg, Germany in the midst of protests against the ongoing G20 summit.

Local media reports that the vehicles were set alight in the city’s Eidelstedt district shortly before 4 am, before fire crews responded and extinguished the inferno at around 6 am.

Images from the scene show that among the vehicles destroyed by the fire were a handful of 911s, a Boxster and at least one Macan. The damage sustained to the vehicles varies but it seems obvious that all twelve will be sent straight to the scrapyard.

Authorities are currently investigating the fires and the Associated Press has suggested that the incident could in fact be tied to the aforementioned G20 summit protests.

  • Dumbasses Unite

Was that really necessary?! What bearing does this senseless act have on the summit?

    • KidRed

Exactly. WTF does Porsche have to do with 19 nations (trump’s an ass so the US isn’t involved any longer) negotiating global trade? They are destroying a German company’s German made products in Germany? WTF?

  • Auf Wiedersehen

    Protesters are so stupid…

  • kachuks

Had to happen at a G20 hosting city. Luxury auto dealerships should hire professional head crackers for this type of situation.

  • Silimarina

Stupid protesters destroying someone else’s property. If you have that urge do destroy something when you protest, bring your one car, laptop, etc and destroy it.

  • Vitor Meireles

The protesters are against capitalism. Nothing represents capitalism better than luxury brands.
I like cars like machines that are and I don’t care for a bunch of them burned when something bigger is happening.
