2018 Honda HR-V Now At Dealerships, Priced From $19,570

For the 2018 model year, the Honda HR-V, now America’s best-selling retail subcompact SUV, comes with a new wheel design and a vibrant new exterior color dubbed Aegean Blue Metallic.

The new color is only available on select trims, while the new wheels with black-painted inserts are available on EX and higher trims, enhancing the HR-V’s sporty looks.

Among the car’s most popular features is the 2nd row MagicSeat system, which offers four different modes for multiple seating and cargo-loading configurations. In fact, fold down the 2nd row seats and you’ll end up with 58.8 cu.ft (1,665 liters) of cargo volume.

The $19,570 price tag is attached to the entry-level LX trim, with two-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission. Getting the same version but with all-wheel drive and a CVT automatic means spending $21,670. In the meantime, Flagship EX-L w/Navi models cost $25,040 (2WD) and $26,340 (AWD) respectively.

As for standard safety and driver-assist features, the 2018 HR-V boasts anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Brake Assist and Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and more.

Great price for a great little CUV, and maybe the best looking in Hondas current lineup!

Don’t be fooled by the cute looks, the engine in this thing is the worst in the Honda line-up, coarse, unrefined and very underpowered.

They continue with the coarse and underpowered engine; it may be acceptable at $19.5k, but not with the extra weight of AWD and/or at higher trim-level prices. And, the headlights are still those rated “Poor” by IIHS, not the LEDs offered on HR-Vs outside the U.S.

Don’t Americans think everything is underpowered unless its a V6 or more…?

Best selling compact SUV in the US, in Europe maybe the slowest selling one? I actually only saw one

Underwhelmed by the changes. The car is adequate for its place in the market but has several glaring weak points that were not addressed. Excusable for the first model year – unacceptable for the third year – yes we own a 2016 HR-V AWD EX-L w/Navi.

Wow I can’t believe they didnt upgrade with honda sensing as standard. Also I agree about the engine…I test drove a 2017 about a month ago and the engine was screaming/crying going up the hill. Honda should have upgraded with their turbo power plant. Also the interior door panels with the fabric looks so hideous to me.

this car is average in literally everyway, it’s not bad but it ain’t great, and it doesn’t look anything special but it’s not ugly. It’s just ‘alright’
