Ford Bronco Digitally Suits Up For Its 2020 Premiere

After many years of rumors and speculation, Ford is finally bringing back the Bronco.

Discontinued in 1996, after its fifth generation, the SUV will be re-introduced in 2020, sliding into the brand’s global vehicle portfolio.

However, despite the numerous reports over these past few months, nobody outside the company knows exactly how it will look like, but Kleber Silva believes that his idea would work. And it includes using his Photoshop skills to sketch down the upcoming Bronco in 3- and 5-door versions.

Now, we don’t know if these renderings are anywhere close to the real things, but what we can tell you is that the new Ford Bronco should receive solid front and rear axles, according to recent sources, in an attempt to pit it against the Jeep Wrangler, whose replacement is also in development.

Powering it could be the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, from the Fustion Sport, churning out 325hp, but since the upcoming SUV will hit the market in a time when most automakers are offering eco-friendly versions of their vehicles, it could also get a hybrid variant.

We’ll know more about the all-new Ford Bronco once the Michigan-based automaker will start testing prototypes.

  • Mark S

    Lets hope not!

    • Bo Hanan

Looks like an elevated Ford Edge.

      • Mike Stevens

It’s the front of some American model (I don’t know them all, maybe the Expedition?) and the back of an Everest. Not especially inventive.

        • No, that’s the rear of an Endeavour, not an Everest.

          • Mike Stevens

Not sure if you’re playing funny buggers ol’ mate, they’re the same car.

          • Eythan Aldrich

Roomster It’s still an Everest only in a different name in a different market……Research before jumping into conclusions with that

The body of a Endeavour is posible but a frontal from the Expedition? it’s never going to happen

  • Grumpy

    WTH is this??

  • Jerry Hightower

The depiction of the 2dr model is really nice! Sadly, I understand that only the 4dr model will be available. Boo on Ford!

  • Dennis Scipio

Not with that Expedition grill it’s not.

  • Peter Vancouver

  • Stephen Baxter

Please no, its not supposed to be cute

  • Koole

I honestly wouldn’t mind if it turned out like this.

    • Jay

I am afraid this time around you are the only one.

  • Kash

if it ends up looking like that then the Bronco will die a 2nd time.

  • I’mCallingYouOut

    Well this is depressing.

    • Maximilian Norlande Rabbitt

That’s hilarious coming from a smiley face

  • Jason Miller

Needs to be boxy like the Wrangler.

  • Mickey Jones

Photoshop is the worst thing that has happened to the human species

    • rodriguez256

I would’ve said greed. But yea sure photoshop.

  • ediotsavant

Not going to look like this rendering. The Bronco needs to be boxy with an upright windshield. The Kia Soul is closest to it.

  • MuhammadSameh

it would look like the wrangler from your recent insider reports, so stop posting shit like this

  • Rocket

Of all the renderings I’ve seen, this is by far the worst. Thank goodness I don’t believe it’s remotely accurate. Ford has clearly stated it will not be a warmed over Everest, and it certainly won’t be wearing a blingy Expedition grille. Early concepts reportedly looked so much like the Wrangler that designers were forced to have another go at it. I can’t believe they’d go from a Wrangler-like design to this.

  • MonkeyRider

Hope FoMoCo is not that stupid.
People want to see BRONCO, not so so SUV.

  • Shane

I would like this if a lot were changed about it. The way the fenders are rolled to match the round shape of the tire says it’s “too friendly” in my opinion. Squared and boxy looks tougher and more masculine which the Bronco should be.

The “too friendly” look is why I hate certain headlights on cars. When I look at the 92-95 Civic and then look at the next Civic (while I do love the blue SI), the 96-2001(?) one looks too friendly. Same with the 99-06 and then the following 06-11 Jetta. I understand that might sell better to mass market cars but when it’s the long awaited Bronco I don’t want to be watered down like this photo. Might as well be a 2 door Explorer.

  • Six Thousand Times

Quash any hope you have of a three-door right now.

  • no25

NO NO NO WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? oh ford please no

looks like everest 3 door. Thank you

  • DeWayne
  • Mynameis Taylor

It’s so F*cking ugly. I wouldn’t drive it for free.

  • thunder bolt

Carscoops should be sued for posting such revolting pictures.

  • TheBelltower

Obviously this image was posted to piss people off! Producing a vehicle like this would be such a squandered opportunity.

  • john1168

Insert obnoxious loud laugh comment here…

  • Htekddn

If this thing has two doors I’ll eat my own head

  • pjl35

Where do you find these photoshops? This is TERRIBLE.

  • U8INIT

BYE!!!….I’m completely done at this point in time…Ford please don’t play in our faces…

  • TrevP
    • Tumbi Mtika

      That’s a Bronco.

  • Emoto

I would love to see the Wrangler get some real competition from an American firm. That posted image is not it.

  • CarbonPhiber

How did this Edge/Pilot mashup drawing get onto Carscoops? Slow news day? Come on guys..

  • Dansk

Thats horrible! there is now way for would go this direction! Ford isn’t just trying to bring back the name plate itself! They are hoping to have the same success Jeep has had with the wrangler. Ford is also bringing it back because of the success of its concept.

  • gary4205

  • Bash

    Oh no!!

  • Tumbi Mtika

  • Cobrajet

It should use the F150 grille.

  • Juan Alvarez

  • Big Black Duck

they might well not bring this into production if its gonna look like this POS

  • Maximilian Norlande Rabbitt

So….I’ve glanced at most of the comments. Is no one going to mention the need for a REAL editor at Carscoops? I mean, this rendering is much less desirable than the one we’ve grown to love, but I had to Google “fustion” to make sure there was no interestingly named Ford I’d missed.

  • Paul

Nice looking two door Edge there fellas.

  • psiqtas

That design is disappointing…for a Bronco!

  • cargeniuass

In the words of comic book guy from the simpsons, “worst, render, ever….”
Seriously, looks like a design from the nintendo 64 days…
Ford is gonna knock it out of the park with their design. I imagine it’s gonna be really similar to the early gen broncos, with a touch of modern flair.
It’s gonna be similar in size and dimensions to the 4runner and its gonna be real off roader, not the everest everyone keeps saying.
