Renault’s Mad Zoe E-Sport Is A 460hp Pocket Rocket That Begs For Production

Hardcore petrolheads tend to hate electric vehicles, but most of them would change their minds if car makers started making cars like this: the Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept.

The French company says they’ve built it for fun and certainly looks like it: the wide bodywork with the almost square proportions make it look like it has escaped from a track.

The bodywork is made out of carbon fiber in order to keep the weight down to 1,400kg (3,086lbs) and that includes the 450kg (992lbs) battery pack.

This small angry machine is powered by two electric motors on its axle for a total of 460hp and 640Nm (472lb-ft). Renault reckons it’ll do 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and that it’ll hit its 130mph top speed limiter in under ten seconds. That’s seriously fast.

Car Throttle had the chance of sampling this mad electric creation on their latest video, linked after the jump.
