2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Arrives With Minor Updates

The Alfa Romeo Giulia got off to a bit of a rocky start but the company is hoping for greater success this year.

As part of this initiative, Alfa Romeo has introduced the 2018 Giulia which comes with new standard equipment and several new options.

Starting with the equipment, the Giulia and Giulia Sport gain chrome speaker surrounds on the doors to add a splash of style to the cabin. The Giulia Ti goes in a slightly different direction as the model now has 18-inch polished aluminum wheels with a double Y-spoke design. Lastly, the range-topping Giulia Quadrifoglio gains a host of new standard features including a Harmon Kardon premium audio system and a forward collision warning plus system.

On the options front, all models can be equipped with a cargo convenience package as well as an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Giulia and Giulia Sport also offer a Harmon Kardon audio system, an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display, and a new driver assistance package. Customers can also order a new two-tone leather interior with dark gray accent stitching.

The Ti Sport, on the other hand, offers two new 19-inch aluminum wheel options as well as a Ti Sport Performance Package. The latter item adds an active suspension as well as a limited-slip differential.

Rounding out the changes is a light walnut wood trim option on the Giulia Ti Lusso and a Driver Assistance Dynamic Package on the Quadrifoglio. The package includes automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control plus with full-stop, and a lane departure warning system.

Nice updates really, not great, but rather nice.

They look very nice ‘in person’.

Sounds like worthy updates. This car looks great in the deep red and the blue shown in the images. White and gray on this car imo looks like shiz.
Would have to go with the Quadrifoglio model for sure, all or nothing.

Just see to it that the electronics are niggle free, and provide the loud exhaust regardless of driving mode.

Alfa needs a Giulia trim level that fills the huge gap between the Quadrifoglio and the standard Giulia.

    • Honda NSX-R

I agree, they need something that directly competes with the S4, C43, and the 340i.

        Its called Giulia Veloce

I seriously hope they fixed the electronic issues in their cars. It shouldn’t matter if they’re Alfa Romeo or not, if they want more people buying their cars they need to fix their reliability issues.

I’ve been driving 2017 model Veloce Q4 since April and there has been no issues … I wouldn’t judge a car by its first press appearance, reviewed by a bunch of reporters, who would destroy any car, if it would be given to them as a daily drive, in a week

    best car !!!!

On the road this Alfa looks a 100 times more appealing than in the showroom. The Alfa is quite attractive on the road versus the showroom. The only problem I see is the face of the sedan is less than appealing to the fairer sex. I don’t know why but that grille is not appealing to the women I’ve asked. The rest of the car is but that grill seems to be a huge turnoff to half the population. To men we love it but to women? It’s seems to be a no go in my informal discussions to date.

Obviously the freebie lease rates on BMW 3 series 320ix win heated seats and all wheel drive at zero down 700 dollar bank fee and 369 a month for 36k30k miles is kicking the crap out of Alfa unit sales as its lease rates require thousands more over the 36 month term with a hearty down payment …unit sales will falter as BMW standard image at zero down 369 a month with awd and heated seats trump Alfa passion with hire costs as a down payment or cap cost reduction…

That’s alfas Achilles heel…non subsidized BMW like zero down 369 a month lease deals…

I want alfa to succeed, ,I’m an alfisti since the 1960s….

They need to work on getting 0-60 closer 60 five seconds. I think this is a fine sedan. I hope the US market buys them.
