The BMW M4 Competition Package serves to prove that on paper figures and specs aren’t the be-all and end-all of performance cars.
Henry Catchpole from Carfection recently jumped into the driver’s seat of a particularly sleek dark red M4 Competition Package and his conclusion is probably exactly what you’d expect; this is one truly marvellous sports car.
The German automaker released the package in early 2016 for the M3 sedan, M4 coupe and M4 Convertible. Power from the twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder rises to 444 hp but more importantly, the car comes equipped with Adaptive M suspension with new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars. Additionally, there are some visual modifications across the exterior and in the cabin to make things even more special.
According to Metcalfe, optioning the Competition Package is a no brainer. We’re inclined to agree.
