Ralph Gilles isn’t just the head of design at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles but he is also a huge revhead and the proud owner of a Dodge Viper ACR.

The designer’s love for the Viper isn’t surprising as he led the team that created and styled the 2014 SRT Viper and the video below shows that he is exceptionally comfortable behind the wheel of the fastest Viper ever conceived.

The latest-generation Viper ACR was introduced 2015 and despite not receiving any mechanical updates since then, it remains one of the fastest street-legal track cars on the market. In fact, one ACR recently lapped the Nurburgring in a blistering 7 min 1 sec.

Oomph for the Viper ACR is provided by a naturally-aspirated 8.4-liter V10 engine delivering 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. These figures are identical to standard Viper models, meaning the ACR relies on its bespoke suspension system, carbon ceramic Brembo brakes and insane aerodynamics to achieve phenomenal lap times.
