When the Audi R8 V10 Plus rolls out of the factory, it does so as one of the quickest accelerating cars available to the public.

In fact, independent tests have shown the 602 hp, 5.2-liter V10-powered supercar reaching 96 km/h (60 mph) in as little as 2.6 seconds. However, when it comes to half-mile drag racing, the standard R8 simply can’t do the job. That’s where Underground Racing steps in.

As the R8 has largely the same engine as the Huracan, the tuning house has developed a number of twin-turbocharger kits for it, the most potent of which delivers a staggering 2,500 hp. That results in some frankly staggering acceleration, as the video below shows.

This particular twin-turbo R8 has 2,500 hp on tap and recently sprinted down the half mile at 244 mph (392 km/h), just 13 mph shy of the fastest Huracan on the planet.
