Porsche 911 GT3 RS Poses With Rusty Gulf Livery

What do you get when you combine the recent trend of old and rusty-style wraps with the famed Gulf colors, arguably the most famous racing livery of them all? Something pretty special, that’s what.

This 991-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been transformed by Neidfaktor and is about as far from understated as you can get.

Like we said, the overriding theme are the orange and blue colors of the Gulf Racing livery but those colors have been contrasted but cracks in the wrap and fake rust spots that make it appear like the sports car has raced at Le Mans and been left to rot in a garage for a couple of decades.

We’re fans of the finished result, perhaps largely because of how different it is and how brave you’d have to be to wrap a GT3 RS like this. What are your thoughts?

Since it’s a wrap it’s fine. I’d go around with one of those for a while.

It’s like buying jeans with holes already in them. What’s the point???
Most people will see the car and think: “why doesn’t the knob wash his Porsche?”

      • Wandering_Spirit

Bo although jeans and cars are two different things, you’re in part right. Normally i have a rational answer to questions like this. But to be honest, i am Italian. Italians not always need a rational reason to do things. Gut feeling tells me that, were i offered to, i’d like to own a Porsche with that livery for a while just to enjoy the whole experience. Normally, i prefer them with more normal colors. But this one has a vintage patina reproduction that makes it look cool. It’s totally useless, yet it makes me want to drive it and forget about the rest. Harley Davidson does special paints that make their bikes look “aged”. A lot of people like them. You have all the patina of time without the real wear that implies. I think there is something in that game of old and new that makes it perfect in some minds…can’t surely be a daily ride with that livery!

      • KDH Creative

        You’ve totally missed the point.

  • Six_Tymes

Putting the wrap aside, I think the 991 GT3 RS is the BEST Body design of all GT3’s. I honestly do not think they will top the 991 design for a very long time.

    This oozes awesomeness.

  • nastinupe

It’s cool because it’s unique and is the opposite of bling.

  • fluffy

I think it would look far cooler having participated in an actual endurance race and had come away looking like that, this just screams of I want people to think that, but I’m too precious about my car to actually do it.
