Someone Crashed A BMW M760Li In Belgium And Now We’re All Sad

It’s always those truly special flagship models you feel most sorry for whenever you encounter one that’s been wrecked, isn’t it?

This M760Li looks like it went 10 rounds with Floyd Mayweather and the refs didn’t actually stop the fight this time. Unfortunately, we’re a little fuzzy about what really happened, since these images posted to Gumbal’s Facebook page didn’t come with a detailed description.

Nevertheless, somebody who claims they were there, pointed to a “little hole in the road” causing the driver of the M760Li to go off-road at what seems like high speed – judging by the distance traveled.

From what we can see, the suspension gave in entirely, which should make for an extremely expensive repair bill. The damage itself allegedly came from the car slamming into some big rocks on the ground as it was making its way across the field involuntarily.

Hopefully, somebody will get to drive this twin-turbo V12-powered beast again, just so they can experience its 610 PS (601 HP) and massive 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Yes, this is the Bimmer that made a name for itself for being quicker to 100 km/h (62 mph) than an F10 M5.

I wouldn’t say we’re all sad. Unlike the collective automotive media, we don’t all worship at the altar of the blue and white roundel.

not as worse unlike supercar crashes

  • europeon

WHY is this newsworthy and WHY are we supposed to be sad?
Rhetorical questions because he doesn’t have an answer anyway.

  • Kash

Not an ALPINA, not even remotely sad, but even then I still wouldn’t be that sad, it’s a car that can still be bought because they’re still being made. Now if it was a CGT, or F1, or GT40, or even a 959, hell a CLK GTR would get more of a “oh no” out of me than this.

Now if you wanna see people cry, show them a wrecked original Gullwing.

    • fabri99

Eh there’s too many Gullwings anyway. Ever attended the Millemiglia? It’s like 400 300SL, 200 Porsche 356 and well, maybe some Jaguar XK120. I’d totally cry for a CLK GTR, a CGT or even a Zonda though.

  • Shobin Drogan

That’s ok it’s worth $70 in the used market in pristine condition anyway.

  • It’ll buff right out and in no time this BMW will serve as a getaway car to East European mobsters.

  • fabri99

They can buy a new one, so there’s not that much to be sad about.

More than enough BMW’s in Belgium, it’s just the working class car.

  • no25

    im not sad.

  • Wandering_Spirit

What is the piece of news in this? Every day around the world gorgeous cars are crashed. Come to Taiwan. You will see kiddos killing Lambos, Porsches, Ferraris they buy cash and can’t drive. They only make the local news.

This makes the SUVs all the more neccessary.
