South African Woman Left Critical After Horrific Audi TT S Crash

A woman has been left in a critical condition after crashing her Audi TT S in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A CCTV camera near the scene managed to record the disastrous crash. In the clip (below), the Audi sports car can be seen turning onto Rivonia Road at approximately the 17-second mark and appears to be out of control.

A few moments later, the TTS can be seen flying through the air before smashing into a number of signs and coming to a rest against a wall.

Local paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after and discovered the woman, believed to be in her 20s, lying behind the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in a critical condition.

Footage of the car after the crash gives an idea of how brutal it was. Both the engine and transmission have been torn from the car and the Audi is now nothing more than a mangled mess. It is remarkable that the driver survived the impact.

Thanks to Jurie C. !

She forgot to enter the cheat code.

  • The Aftermath is Terrible

I don’t wish that on anyone as that one a terrible crash. I can only imagine what her body had undergone as a result of the crash.

Lucky for her the driver side doesn’t look so bad. If she had a passenger, that person would have been cut in half.

Lucky for her, South Africa is right-hand-drive! Of course, she would have been more lucky if she chose to walk home that day.

    Here’s some simple math…20’s + fast car = accident

It should be mandatory for anyone who routinely drives a high performance car to take an advance driving course.
It won’t stop all crashes but it might help some to think before they drive.

I’d say that if you have fewer than 11 lbs/hp (or 5 kg /horsepower?) from the factory, you should be required to get a different license – that way if you get in a crash in a car you’re not qualified to drive, there’s a legal guideline that says you’re at fault.

Why is it so hard for people to turn their phone 90 degrees when filming?

    • supermanuel

      It’s time for legislation.

That’s how I’m going to park my car from now on. Once I actually pass my driver’s test of course.
