A Little Hail Gave This Brand New Challenger Hellcat A Salvage Title

Yearning for a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat but not prepared to part ways with almost $65,000? Well, we may have the perfect Hellcat for you.

Currently listed for sale on Copart, this 2017 Challenger Hellcat has a salvage title but has only been damaged by hail, meaning that it is mechanically perfect.

Images of the muscle car show obvious dents in the hood and it’s likely that both the roof and rear decklid have also been bruised and battered by mother nature. However, the car could be essentially returned to new with nothing more than a used hood, roof and decklid. Currently, the highest bid sits at $17,600, making it an absolute bargain.

Beyond how easy it will be to repair, this Hellcat represents extraordinary value because it has just 41 miles on the clock.

Leave as it is and claim a badge of honor: I was going that fast that the rain hit the car like hail…

  • kachuks

The poor thing never made it off the dealer lot.

  • Insurance Company Tomfoolery

Well, the starting bid is now at $30K. Also, it’s ridiculous that this was totaled for said damage. No wonder insurance rates are high.

  • Craig

I wouldn’t even try to repair it. The STORY behind it would always make it even more interesting than most Hellcats. [Or most other cars – for that matter] Oh how I wish I had the money!

  • Craig

    Rename it the ‘Hailcat’!

  • SteersUright

Carscoops needs to stop with these baiting headlines. These Copart salvage cars are NEVER a bargain nor given away for free as evidenced by the $30k minimum bid, not $17k. This always happens with these types of car as people start a bidding war to get in on these once-in-a-lifetime bargains every other week.

  • Wolverine350R

Just pop the roof off and slap a new one on huh?
And why is the interior so dirty? It looks like it has been left open to the elements.
    Also, now at $47,500
