Both the Lotus Evora GT430 and GT430 Sport are the brand’s most extreme Evora variations ever. Not only that, they’re comfortably the fastest. But, are they the best?

Carfection recently jumped into the driver’s seat of both models to discover what they’re all about and how they perform on the track and on the road.

Despite what their names may suggest, the GT430 is the track-oriented model of the pair and the GT430 Sport is better suited to on-road performance. Visual differences between the duo are obvious, thanks to the GT430’s aggressive aero elements, including a towering rear wing.

Beneath the bodywork, both utilize a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 with 430 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Both will hit 60 mph (100 km/h) in the same 3.7 seconds but thanks to its lack of aerodynamic appendages, the GT430 Sport tops out at a higher 196 mph (315 km/h) top speed.
