New BMW X3 Detailed In 219 Images And 2 Videos

To celebrate the international media launch of the new generation X3, BMW has dropped an extensive image gallery, accompanied by 2 films, which further detail their premium compact SUV.

Currently in its third generation, the vehicle continues to challenge the likes of the Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

It has grown in size compared to its predecessor, but if you’re not a car person, then chances are that you won’t notice it out in the open, despite its 3D kidney grille and restyled panels, all of which have an evolutionary design.

Inside, the manufacturer chose to focus the cockpit layout around the driver, and this can only mean that it should be a peach to sit behind the wheel, in theory at least, because we have yet to know whether it lives up to its predecessor, or, better yet, if it’s superior to it.

BMW has made a very interesting addition to the new-gen X3 lineup, which comes in the form of the M40i version. This is the first-ever M Performance variant in the lineup, and uses a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that delivers 360PS (355hp) and 500Nm (369lb-ft) of torque to the ground. Naught to 100km/h (62mph) takes 4.8seconds, and top speed is electronically capped at 250km/h (155mph).

    is it fwd?

  • Bash

Its funny that there is a symbol of sedan car on the key fob, instead of an SUV shape. i would have not expected that from BMW.

  • Rocket

Except for the unnecessarily large kidney grille, the styling is vastly improved. Too bad you can’t get the inline six without the sport suspension and other M bits.

  • TotallyDisqusted

This looks great… except for BMW finally following MB with the tablet glued to the dashboard look for the navigation screen.

  • Yilmaz Yasar

Calvin ı love you for bigger and bolder kidneys but same time ı hate you because no hoffmeister kink

  • Vassilis

A truly great shame BMW has lost its edge in terms of design.
