Russian Woman Killed By Street Sign While Hanging Topless Out Of Moving Car

A good vacation can leave a traveler feeling care-free, but that sense of freedom can have disastrous consequences – as it did for one Russian woman.

Natalia Borodina was on vacation in the Dominican Republic and was filmed, half-naked, hanging out the passenger window of a moving Kia Picanto, when her head hit on a street sign and she was killed.

The 35-year-old mother from the Chelyabinsk region in western Russia was traveling with one Ivanna Boirachuk, 32, from Ukraine. Boirachuk was arrested by local police on suspicion of driving under the influence, causing Borodina’s death.

Boirachuk captured the chilling incident on video which was then shared on social media, including  on Facebook and Youtube, but before you click on either, be warned that some viewers may find the content disturbing.

Borodina’s bereaved friends and family reject the premise that she was an irresponsible or immoral person. “She helped her poor family with everything,” one friend, Elena Korolyova, told the Daily Mail. “She was hoping for a better future. And anyone can make a mistake, why should we judge her by just one video? Are we all saints?’

In addition to her 11-year-old son, Borodina is survived by her sister and 80-year-old mother. The family is reportedly struggling to have Borodina’s remains returned to Russia for burial. The transportation alone is estimated to cost some $20,000, in addition to other costs related to the burial.

I know that people are going to make some judgmental comment about what happened, however, we have all done stupid things in our lives and just made it out by the seat of our pants, so theres no reason to criticize her for her actions. Her child and family is already paying the price, no need to add insult to injury. I hope that they can deliver her remains back to Russia for a proper burial.

    • Frank

I agree, we don’t need any type of smart alec’s. Damn this is depressing. My condolences to the Families.

    • donald seymour

Thank you and we’ll said. I needed to hear that.

    • LJ

Exactly. Let’s not lose our heads over this.

      • Hugh Jorgan

        Nice comment , DIPSHIT.

        • LJ

You’re right. I should’ve used my head before posting my previous comment.

      • Cupboi

lol I see what you did there.

    • Cupboi

Well, i’ve never done something THIS stupid, that’s for sure.

      • kello3000

Suppose you’re right. Dead people seldom write comments on the web…

    • jarooo4

We all have done stupid things in our lives? Well maybe but I would be embarrassed if my mother would die with her tits naked in such stupid way. That’s just immature. Like a stupid 20 year old b***h. She was 35 and had a 11 year old son. I think she should grow up at least a decade ago. Zero

    • Bo Hanan

So I’m going to break with the crowd and say that that was really stupid of her. And I don’t believe she was that innocent because she looked pretty comfortable taking the chance. So comfortable (maybe drunk even) that she didn’t consider her family prior to doing it. Sad part is that sometimes when we humans do dumb things we don’t get to “live & tell.” Hard not to judge her because it was dumb.
P.S. why didn’t the driver see the sign coming???

  • Jerry Hightower

I have a friend whose husband was hanging out the window throwing up. As they passed a parked semi he was decapitated! He and his wife were in the process of a divorce. She got everything.

  • Six_Tymes

poor girl, having silly fun. the driver should have been more mindful, but if she was also intoxicated then theres that. condolences to the Families.

  • Shobin Drogan

Well all I can say is she did something stupid but didn’t deserve to die for it.

    • Matt

Yes she didn’t deserve to die & agree with many posters that her family has already been through so much. I also empathize /sympathize with many, including myself who have done something similar to this w/o an outcome of this horrible accident. That being said, it can be a good reminder that almost all will will do something similar of this nature though when we become parents there’s an extra responsibility and accountability that wasn’t there before & we have to be aware before we start drinking or whatever the case is that parents can’t do what they used to do/ cant be as care free as they once were because now there’s someone that depends on us.

  • TheBelltower

Well I’m not going to sleep tonight. That was awful.

  • kachuks

Dam, she was hot. Really fake rack but she was a quality piece nonetheless.

    • Tumbi Mtika

@kachuks:disqus, making sure that we focus on what’s important.

  • BlackPegasus

    I’m not watching it.
    On to the next story.

  • eb110americana

I remember a Darwin Awards runner-up that was throwing up out the window of her boyfriend’s car. He clipped a sign or something with her head and didn’t notice that she had died until they got home. (Not watching that video…)

    • Auf Wiedersehen

      Exactly…this site has reached a new low…

      • LWOAP

Well, this does get them traffic so I’m assuming it’s going to continue. The only car related thing in the “Trending Now” whatever the fuck that is that I can’t name, is the Polestar 1 article. All the others turned into a sewer of politics.

That doesn’t mean I like it but I wouldn’t surprised if we see more of this. It does get more comments than anything else here.

  • Incog Nito

There is an 11 years old kid who will remember his mother with the act & this video for the rest of his life. This is the only thing his mother left to him. I hate to judge people. However don’t you think people who have kids should be a bit more responsible?

    • Bo Hanan

    • exeptor

I don’t think that this will be the only thing to remember her. According to the article she was the one who basically bring the money in the family which suggest that she was a loving mom. This is such a stupid accident – every day thousands are doing the same thing (reasons for this might be quite a lot) and sometimes some of them pay the price. If there was no sign, if they drove with half the speed, if the friend drove closer to the middle lane than the side one, etc. then this might have even be categorized as cool by a majority of people (especially young).

  • surfshop

    Sad one

What is in mind of her friend if she posted that?…..

    • exeptor

I wonder the same. I have two assumptions:
      1. Someone from the police did it;
      2. She put it as an attempt to somehow justify that she is not guilty. You know what Russia-Ukraine relations are.

      • Nocca Italy

are you saying that she could have deliberately killed her friend because of the war between Russia and Ukraine? Wow…….U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E!

        • exeptor

Of course not! Read my comment again this time slowly and try to go in depth in the meaning. This is a simple assumption of what might be the reason someone publish a video where his/her friend died. The level of conspiracy thinking and nationalism in both – Ukraine and Russia, is mind blowing. It is absolutely possible that someone start talking shit like this (deliberately killing) in order to gain some benefits and the side effect is to put anathema over the poor girl who lost a friend.

  • Vassilis

    Lost for words really.

FAKE. No decent human being would post anything like this if if were real. Fake video generated to create internet traffic. Also lends insight into curators of this site. I thought this is suppose to be an automobile news site not a National Inquirer spin-off. It’s bullshit sites like this that contribute to what is wrong with the world today. DONE.

    • Cupboi

“No decent human being would post anything like this if if were real.”

Maybe. Doesn’t mean it isn’t real, tho. I know this concept might blow your mind, but not everyone is a “decent human being”. That’s just how the world works…

      • Stephen G

So wait..the article says she was arrested. So sitting in jail she’s uploading the death video of her good friend for her friend’s son and parents to see. Don’t believe for a second.

    • ZYGIUS

Its Russia everything is possible. They showed this in NEWS

      • Stephen G

We are all familiar with “Russian News”!

  • Finkployd

    • Six_Tymes

  • hmmm
    poles do hate russians still

  • Auf Wiedersehen

You guys really need to remove this story….

  • What a dumb woman!

  • PlonPlon

Video has been removed from YouTube. It would be decent and respectful to now remove this article.

  • Paul

So sad that an an irrational act at the wrong moment came to this. Condolences to those who must go ahead without her.

  • Jay

ecerything can’t be car news just because it has a car involved. We want to know about mechanicals and maybe hte car industry not the average person and what they do, especially like this. Scew you guys for forcing us to even know this happened.

  • The-Fez

Why is this still showing up in “Trending Now” after an ENTIRE MONTH? I’m sick of seeing this every time I open this site.
