Someone Doesn’t Like The Jaguar F-Pace

A quick look at Jaguar Land Rover’s sales will tell you that consumers like what the British company is doing at the moment.

In particular, it is the Jaguar brand that has experienced burgeoning popularity in recent years, largely thanks to the F-Pace crossover. Not only is the F-Pace the fastest-selling model in Jaguar’s history, but it has almost single-handily lifted the firm’s sales to unexplored heights.

Despite this, and the fact that many car journalists have fallen head over the heels for the sexy SUV, Doug DeMuro is not a fan.

You can watch Doug’s review below but just a warning, if you’re a Jaguar fan, you might want to block your ears at some points.

He doesn’t love it, but he doesn’t hate it, it’s about average.

  • Six_Tymes

“Its a Shaguar, Yeah Baby Yeah”
i would much rather own average, rather than below… however, the front door window control locations would piss me off. that said, Doug has done Jaguar a favor by pointing out it’s faults or “quirks”, hopefully the design decision makers at Jaguar watches this video. Because I think 3 of the “quirks” do need changing.

I think the Velar has window switches in the common area so maybe with each redesigned model they move

This must be the worst critique I’ve ever watched. He is so verbose and opinionated, which I guess is for effect rather than a serious overview. Just imagine him critiquing your home………….yes…..NO!

  • LeStori

What the hell is a Jagwah…. it is actually pronounced something closer to Jag-you-are

This reminds me of the Americans turning up late for WW1 using the word lieutenant, pronounced lef tenant and hearing the French speak their version of the word and changing their pronunciation to Loo Tenant. A person residing in a lavatory.

    • dumblikeyou2

      Closer to Jag-off.

  • Matt

Yuck, people still like using those chrome door edge protectors?

    • LWOAP

      Apparently yes.

    • john1168

At least they didn’t put wire wheels, white walls and a carriage top on it. Seriously… I saw a brand new Lincoln MKZ a few months ago with that mod…ugh

  • badcyclist

I think he is pretty much spot-on. I was interested in the F-Pace until I saw it in person and took a test drive, and came away completely disappointed. Small, dark, very limited cargo space, cheap interior materials, unimpressive tech, and, in short, average. At best.

  • EyalN

Doug doesn’t like anything. he got funny reviews but full of bs.
he is always saying:i’m only 6 ft 10 in and i can hardly fit in this SUV.
why cadillac don’t make the escalade taller? (i’m joking but this is about what he is saying)

I was seriously considering an F Pace earlier. I have to say I agree with his review except for one thing. The exterior styling. I think it’s the best looking suv out there. The interior needs improving but the outside is great! Everything else, he’s spot on. Everything else is painfully average.

  • Knuckle Buck

if you chopped off his arms, he’d finally stfu.

    i prefer alfa romeo stelvio

  • SteersUright

Jaguar doesn’t make a single compelling car anymore. Every single one of them is compromised in one fashion or another, with all of them of questionable quality. The number of XJ’s I see in the auction with trim falling down, peeling off, etc., is horrid in comparison even to any American car of the same age. Its like they’re almost there, almost great cars, but just not quite. A shame. I hope they make some sweeping changes, poach some quality control folk and top engineering execs and make it work.Hard not to love a storied company like Jaguar.

Doesnt hate it but doesnt think it stands out. It has better stance than most and love the exhaust note. Its his personal opinion and im sure sales will show differently
