Singer And Williams Reveal Their Breathtaking 500HP Porsche 911

Singer has been working with Williams Advanced Engineering for their latest project which is a rather stunning reimagined 911 that received newly-developed lightweight and high-performance modifications.

The project was born under the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) name, with Singer partnering with Williams and other world-renowned specialists, including Michelin, Brembo and BBS Motorsport.

It’s hard to choose a highlight on this magnificent creation, but if you have to pick one it has to be the new four-valve, four-camshaft naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine with 500hp, developed by Williams with consultation from none other than Hans Mezger, the legendary Porsche engineer.

Other details include the new underbody and surface aerodynamic enhancements, again by Williams and Porsche Motorsport legend Norbert Singer, via computational fluid dynamics (CFD). If you take a closer look at the renderings, you’ll notice that even the taillights now feature air outlets, not to mention the rear diffuser and the various scoops everywhere.

The new car is also lighter thanks to the increased use of exotic materials like magnesium, titanium and carbon fiber. The end result is a staggering minimum vehicle weight of 990kg/2180lbs.

The new DLS package is completed by the improved suspension, which is now lighter and offers better adjustability and enhanced geometry. Features like the bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the lightweight 18-inch BBS-Motorsport forged-magnesium alloys, carbon Brembo brakes, the bespoke EXE-TC dampers and a special lightweight six-speed manual transmission made out of magnesium from Hewland can also be specified should the customer wants to.

Only 75 cars will be built at a dedicated Singer facility housed on the Williams campus in the UK, with the company having racing driver Marino Franchitti and Top Gear presenter Chris Harris serving as consultants and vehicle dynamics development drivers.

    500HP and 2200lbs?! WOW!
Oh, wait a minute- how much?

    • donald seymour

      Probably 500, as in thousands.

      • drc

Not even close, that’s for a REGULAR Singer @ $ 500K. This is a Singer on Steroids, it will easily be $ 1 mil + the donor car!

  • Tumbi Mtika

God, this is so f_cking dope.

  • RunningLogan

    Wow! So cool!

    • SteersUright

So its just that Porsche’s aren’t your thing and nothing to do with the roughly $700k pricetag? lol. Just teasing. I love this car and the craftsmanship is museum worthy on these Singer’s. But the prices are absurd.

      • Astonman

“The craftsmanship is museum worthy” well said!

  • Six_Tymes

I just pressed this like 10 times http://amzn.to/2zGOV0f

those CGIs are pure art….car looks great.

  • Vassilis

Not quite as elegant as older Singers but really, this is carporn.

    • exeptor

Agreed. In general this car looks amazing (I’m not commenting the performance), but several things really bothers me – tail lights, exhaust pipes and seats. For me they are overdone. If they can make it more normal looking (standard lights covers, just a simple chrome pipes, “standard” Singer seats) this car will be the thing to die for. I guess these are really small things which can be offered as an 4/5 digits options :).

All I can think of is that Steve McQueen would own one! 😀

When I’m rich, I’m getting one made. Still haven’t decided on a color combo yet. It seems like the uglier the colors the better the cars look for some strange reason. Like light blue and orange or green and orange or brown and darker brown. I wonder why that is.

  • alexxx

    😍😍😍😍😍

  • BrucieBruce

If the price of this goes north of $Million USD, then I’d better start saving up. At least the donor car won’t really matter at that kind of price. My guess is the 75 cars are already spoken for anyways.

  • Big Black Duck

now thats a 10/10 million dollar interior… Chiron interior looks like a toyota echo next to this… this is next level stuff

  • Dennis James

Best car I have seen in the last 5 (maybe 10) years.
