Tesla Model X And Hummer H2 Engage In A Tug Of War

The Tesla Model X has already proved its credentials by offering a very good electric range, and being surprisingly faster than some supercars on the drag strip.

It also confirmed that it’s not afraid to get mud on that expensive body, or take its chances on sand, but how does it fare against a true off-roader such as the Hummer H2?

For this adventure, the two very different SUVs haven’t been taken on a challenging terrain, as they remained on the comfort of the asphalt, for a good old-fashioned tug of war game, split into three different rounds.

This is where the Tesla Model X’s instant electric torque should have made a difference, but the road surface was either wet or icy, so it quickly became a grip challenge, as whichever vehicle lost traction first, lost.

However, we do know that the EV had no trouble in showing a Toyota Land Cruiser who’s boss on snow, so surely the Hummer H2 could not have driven away victorious. Or could it?

    in your face tesla

  • LWOAP

I’ll take the H2 thank you very much. Also on the first pull the Hummer won on the second pull the Tesla won.

    So it’s a tie.

    • Why H2… That’s just symbolize everything that is wrong about 2000s GM and Excessive American consumption.

      • LWOAP

Because it’s big, dumb, and pointless and a bio-diesel conversion would go great. Also, I want to put “Douche bag coming through”‘ on the back window. 🙂

        • If that is the care, I can’t recommend any other car that suit your description. 🙂

    • Tore Foss

We run 7 times. My Hummer won 6….

  • PK

so meaningless. what was the point of all this?

    • Six_Tymes

to show how wasteful some stupid people are.

    • brn

      No point. Just entertainment.

  • Tumbi Mtika

    What does this prove?

    • ChrisInIL

A car isn’t practical unless it can win in a tug of war? No, that’s not it. 😉

  • Tumbi Mtika

    I’ll take…neither.

Get me a new Lotus Elise and I’m set(even though I live in the US).

    • Didn’t both Elise and Exige is still available in the US? The catch is that it’s not road legal.

  • If torque is pulling power and tesla has twice as much what happened in the first 2 rounds?

  • still i need a tesla

  • Tenzin Pelha

Just why would you do this on a wet day? Traction is big key in pulling something heavy.
