2019 Ram 1500 Looks Boss All Mopar’d Out In Patriot Blue

Between all the trim levels, bed lengths, cab sizes, and power/drivetrain options, the new 2019 Ram 1500 offers what promises to be a staggering array of configurations. But if those aren’t enough, Mopar stands ready to kit yours out just the way you want it.

FCA’s in-house parts division has developed a catalog of over 200 new accessories for the full-size pickup… and isn’t wasting any time showing them off, either.

To highlight just some of the possibilities, Ram and Mopar are displaying a fully kitted-out Big Horn pickup at the Detroit Auto Show.

Painted in Patriot Blue, the show truck wears 20-inch alloys (in a two-tone black and polished finish), trailed by injection-molded splash guards, with cast aluminum running boards, grey bodyside graphics, retractable bed step, composite tonneau cover, cold-air intake, 5-inch exhaust tips, all-weather floor mats, and custom door sill plates.

Of course those are just a few of the options that Mopar will offer on the 2019 model, showcasing just one configuration. The catalog ranges from decal graphics to exhaust upgrades, and includes running boards, floor mats, tool boxes, sports bars, splash guards… the works. Customers will be able to order theirs to their individual specifications.

It seems all of FCA’s products are half-assed. Look at how excellent the Giulia could’ve been so amazing (and is on a good day) yet was launched with so many kinks that nearly all the major Mags had Giulia’s break down. Also, its interior materials, fit and finish are shameful. Same for all of their other Alfa and Maserati products, almost amazing, but not quite.

Same also for the terribly aging Chrysler/Dodge lineup they’ve maintained. New engines and/or a new front fascia do not make for an all new and very competitive vehicle (Charger, Challenger, Ram, 300, etc). Seems the bulk of their cash went into the Wrangler and Pacifica, hopefully the Wrangler is truly well done at least because this Ram is not. Then again, with the 0 down sub-$200 leases they always push for a V8 equipped truck, whats to be truly expected from this “all new” Ram anyhow?

Whats left to be seen is if FCA also ends up ruining Ferrari as its their last shining gem to some extent.
