2019 Ram 1500 Leaked From Factory Floor

A picture of the 2019 Ram 1500 has surfaced on Imgur ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show on January 15th.

Set to battle the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the redesigned Ram features an all-new front fascia which eschews the truck’s crosshair grille. It has been replaced by an all-new unit which features chrome trim and prominent “RAM” badging.

Designers also installed new headlights and an evolutionary front bumper which has an air intake. Moving further back, we can see a bulging hood, smoother bodywork, and a more rounded greenhouse.

Previous spy photos have shown the cabin will feature a host of improvements including higher quality materials and a new center stack with a UConnect infotainment system that is flanked by vertical air vents. Drivers will also find a rotary gear selector and updated controls.

Engine options are expected to carryover and include a 3.6-liter V6, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. Rumors have also suggested the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the 2018 Jeep Wrangler could eventually be offered in the Ram 1500. It produces 270 hp (201 kW) and 295 lb-ft (399 Nm) of torque, which would make it ideal for customers looks to balance performance with fuel-efficiency.

Lol. I posted that image on another article earlier. Anyway, I’m sure some will love while others will hate it.

    • Six Thousand Times

I went with neither love nor hate.

  • Marshall Boyce

Not as bad as I thought judging from spy photos, however it looks more like a facelift and less of an all new model, so the FCA rollercoaster just goes around again.

    • Six Thousand Times

There’s probably a lot of money-saving carryover bits given that FCA is strapped for cash.

  • Innocuous

    Better than i expected.

  • rodriguez256

Man the Ram just continues to get uglier with every update. Chevy looks like they may have finally gotten better. The F150 is still the best looking full sized truck and not even by a little bit.

    • nauticalone

      My thoughts exactly!

  • :/ Yurr

It looks good, I actually really like the headlights. The interior was the main thing that needed changing though.

    • Jon

The current interior is fantastic. You must not own one.

      • :/ Yurr

I don’t, but have sat in one. The materials were good but I didnt like the design of it.

  • Frank Yoster

Pretty good!prettyDamn Good!i cant wait to get in one of these.

    • LJ

      Don’t insult Ford like that.

      • Alex Rossi

        Why insult RAM?

  • no25

Not bad, but I’m not a fan of the mess going on in the grille.

  • Honda NSX-R

    I kinda like it.

  • Dennis Scipio

Are they still gonna use the Ram logo?

  • LJ

It’s not ugly, but it doesn’t look like a Ram. It looks like a Chinese rip off of a Ram, if that makes sense.

I miss the crosshair grille. What was the point of separating Ram from Dodge again?

  • kachuks

That is a lot of hood bulge for a 1500. How much bigger is the HD version going to be?

  • S3XY

    That is ugly

    • Tumbi Mtika

When have you ever liked ANY car that’s not electric?

You’re making noise for the sake of it, if my past experiences with you are anything to go by.

      • LWOAP

I think he complimented a Koenigsegg once and preferred the M3 GTR over the new 8 series.

        • Tumbi Mtika

          Well then, I stand corrected.

          • LWOAP

Yeah, you’re right. The are the only two exceptions I found in months.

  • Six Thousand Times

Meh. Looks a little like the last Tundra or something.

  • Mike Sinyaboot
    • LJ

The concept rendering looks much better than this generic Chinese looking ripoff.

    • MarketAndChurch

It looks so much better in red. But still looks super generic.

    • Jay

Not sure what your looking at but the Silver truck looks to be of a higher class. Its mirrors and grille have more chrome, it also has fender flares and tow hooks. The truck from the spy shots looks as if its a base model to me but at least the both have fog lights and parking sensors.

  • jsz00

Looks like a Chinese designed it

  • Mark S

It will dress up nicely and it looks less massive just to be massive than the new Silverado. One might actually see over the hood in this.

  • SgtBeavis

I don’t hate it, but I’m not finding any love for it either. If I were to base my decision on styling alone, I would rather get an F-150.

  • Karl

Wow,what a let down! I will withhold full judgment until its debut. Hopefully this truck will turn out to be much more flattering in person or with official photos. What is presented here is totally a couple steps back from the current one. Chevrolet has a massive hit on its hand with their new truck,Ram must come better than this if they plan to challenge Chevy and Ford. Say it ain’t so! What a let down it seems!

  • Jake

    Doesn’t look bad but doesn’t scream ‘it’s 2019’ either

    • donald seymour

      Jake you are so right.

  • botornot387

this is a lazy redesign that will fall flat when comparing to the refreshed silverado, sierra, and forhcoming F150

    • Eythan Aldrich

      *forthcoming *facepalm for typo reasons

  • SteersUright

When initially launched, the Ram was one of the very best looking trucks with it “big rig” look. Is this even all new or an extensive refresh? Feels like the Ram has been riding on the same chassis and setup for 2 decades now. Anyhow, not that it matters to buyers of these who likely prioritize utility, practicality and cost, but, this is one ugly ass truck.

  • Jay

They succeeded on keeping it’s roots because without the Badge/Emblem it looks like a Ram. However it reminds me of the Sierra in the headlights. I’ll admit that when it first leaked I wasn’t a fan but maybe in the color it looks a bit better..

  • MarketAndChurch

    It looks a bit dated.

  • Mr_Fanta_Pants

  • Hello Moto ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

I had to do a double-take. Thought I was looking at a Toyota Tundra.

  • TryToMakeIt

This comment has nothing to do with the truck, it’s these stupid comments that pop up because of ad blocker. I tell why you why I have it blocking, and NO, I WILL NOT PAY SUBSCRIPTION, is because of the scamming ads you people let get by. THAT’S WHY. Get rid of the condom ads, the fucking prostitute ads, I don’t want dates with whores. Leave the ok ads on and maybe people won’t block ads. GET THE PICTURE!!! This is why I am pissed at all the ads that load up and slow my research down and then on top of that all the damn videos ads that you people leave hogging up all my data and resources. That’s why ad blocker. If you can’t afford to put article without regular good ads, then lay everyone off and shut down.

    • LWOAP

Strange, the only ads I see are from Porsche and Lamborghini dealerships, as well as the occasional airline and travel adverts.

Ummm……just a thought, try clearing your browser history and see if that helps.

      • Six Thousand Times

        Comedy gold!

  • NOOOOOOOOO NO NO NO NO NO NO nononononononoooooo NO! Come on FCA !!! STOP this stupid mess!
Don’t get me wrong, doesn’t look bad. But this isn’t a RAM. First I don’t get RAM as a brand, is Chevy and Ford can sell sports cars and trucks, why not Dodge? But why no you smart suits at marketing. But this is an insult to the history and identity of Dodge/RAM. The Dodge RAM 1500 used to be my favorite truck just because it was to me the best looking. I want my ram head logo back, cross sections… Now if I just want huge chrome bars, FORD and CHEVY are already doing a great job.

  • Craig

THIS JUST IN: The RAM has been a neutered.

  • Daniel

Fitting the 2.0-liter in such huge compartment would surely leave enough room for a third Rambox.

  • dumblikeyou2

Most people, even the ones that own them, won’t even notice the change.

  • Tumbi Mtika

Nice Tundra. Glad they got the proportions right this time.

  • Simon Simmons

Meh, way to Tundra like, ugly and a step backwards. Chevy wins hands down.
