Given that only 500 units were made (excluding the open-top Aperta), it’s not every day that we come across a Ferrari LaFerrari, let alone one that spins in the middle of an intersection.

Posted by Instagram user SocalEuroCars, the video that follows was apparently shot somewhere in California during the ‘Cars and Chronos’ meet, it shows the rare Italian hybrid hypercar unleashed for a few seconds.

The clip starts with the LaFerrari entering the intersection and losing its grip in the middle of it. However, instead of selecting 1st gear and taking off, the driver put his right foot down, doing a few donuts and creating a haze of tire smoke, to the delight of the crowd that was cheering him, before moving on.

We’ve seen a lot of overenthusiastic drivers crashing their expensive rides at various car meets, but luckily, everything went smooth in this case. Still, whatever you’re driving, don’t try this on public roads, as empty parking lots, or better yet, tracks, are the only places where enthusiasts should ‘thrash’ their cars without endangering themselves or others.
