Ferrari SUV Rendering Looks Hideously Wrong

If a Ferrari 812 Superfast and an Alfa Romeo Stelvio could have a baby, it would probably look something this.

The internet oddity is the work of KleberSilva, and while some would immediately compare it to Lamborghini’s Urus, it’s in fact smaller, and it might be just us, but uglier as well.

Nevertheless, as strange as a Ferrari-badged SUV sounds, rumors about the Italian car marque considering expanding their lineup have persisted for years. Such a vehicle would help them produce more than 10,000 units annually, bringing in extra cash for the exotic Italian brand.

Inevitably, having Lamborghini and Ferrari chase after the booming SUV segments throws the ball into McLaren’s yard, and a completely different set of renderings, posted by JoseRodriguezNebreda, reveals how a Woking-made high-riding vehicle would look like, inspired by the P1 hybrid hypercar.

It doesn’t exactly do justice to the McLaren name, but the automaker continues to dismiss working on an SUV, adding that they’ll continue to focus their attention on sports cars and supercars.

How to get an article on CS? Why, do an ugly rendering or two of course..

  • Six_Tymes

meh, who cares its only a render, most renders look bad anyway.

    • And there is enough site to make an article about it, shame…

  • Six Thousand Times

This is going to happen and it’s going to be ugly. This ugly? Probably not but still plenty ugly.

    • alexxx

And that is because Ferrari makes ugly cars…right?
      Bullxhit…

      • Tumbi Mtika

You dropped an “s” in the middle, there…

      • Six Thousand Times

No because all of these from Porsche to Maserati to BMW to Lamborghini to Mercedes Benz are all ugly so It’s a given Ferrari’s take on the theme will also be ugly.

    should’ve based from trackhawk instead

    • Jeep platform is ancient, Marchionne tried to make Levante out of it but ended up using Quattroporte platform instead.

Not too fast! Some guy called Ed Ward has something to say about this.

        • Six Thousand Times

Not to mention Frank “Cletus” Yoster.

  • Both is ugly and well this illustrator not really good at interpreting design language and create this monstrosity.

So average illustrator can get into news these days? shame…

  • LWOAP

How is this any worse than all the other renderings you posted here? Seems standard if you ask me. Well, except that Dodge Charger rendering some guy did some time ago. That was beyond ugly. Honestly, I think he was just trolling us but who knows?

    • Honestly the illustrator is bad, he just mashed up cars, real illustrator instead study the design language and try to applied it.

But again good illustrator would be hired somewhere and not posting something in his facebook hoping some site pick it up 😛

“Ferrari SUV Rendering Looks Hideously Wrong”

Then why is it here? What does this add to the conversation?

    • LWOAP

Any bad rendering gets an article here.

      • Tumbi Mtika

        Sad.

I know that it’s only a render, but it’s pretty disappointing how mundane and ordinary the SUV’s from so-called “exotic” brands are. The Urus looks like a jacked-up Veloster and the Stelvio looks like a Hyundai with an Edsel grille. If these great brands are going to venture into the SUV territory, they really need to do much better. They should start with a clean sheet and shake up the category completely. There are only a couple brands that are attempting to break away from what’s common… Love ’em or hate ’em, the only two that I see even attempting to move the needle are Range Rover and Tesla. Range Rover with their Sport in the mid 00’s, the Evoque in ’12 and the new Velar. And Tesla with the X. These vehicles feel like the future, while no one else seems to be evolving at all.

Porsche’s are many praise-worthy things… but I’ve never thought to myself, “Aren’t they beautiful’.”

  • Obsequious Lickspittle

Okay, I’ll bite. How is this any different to all the SUVs on the market?
They all look like they’ve been hit with an ugly stick.

  • Michelin

Ferrari designers have better style. This rendering is a ugly Cayenne with Ferrari light ….

  • Firejoe

Kill it with fire… That looks so bad!

  • ctk4949

No Ferrari, please dont!! Stay a pure supercar brand!!

  • Smith

What is pathetic about this rendering, is the “artist” took the Porsche Macan or cayenne and just added a Ferrari logo and front. this is why people should not be given the space to show off such ridiculous and amateur renderings. This is an insult to Ferrari.

    • Bob

Looks like an Alfa Stelvio but same difference.

      • Michelin

Yes, stelvio is far more styled and elegant than this render. And far more beautiful than concurrent suv too.

  • exeptor

Please, build it! It will be an amazing companion to the Urus.
