How Much Would You Pay For This Crashed, 2018MY Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400?

Infiniti finally answered the call for a proper performance sedan when it unleashed the Q50 Red Sport 400.

Listed for sale on Copart is one such example – or the shattered remains of it, we should say, as it was either too much to handle for its owner or another vehicle smashed into it.

Whatever the case, the vehicle is located in Nashville, which happens to be the American home of Infiniti’s parent company Nissan. The automaker bases its US operations there, manufacturers many of its vehicles in nearby Smyrna, and even owns the naming rights on the Nissan Stadium where the Tennessee Titans play – sharing their name, incidentally, with the company’s full-size pickup truck.

Location aside, the sports sedan has suffered what looks like rather extensive damage to its front end, but, fortunately, the engine is still said to run. And what an engine it is: the top-of-the-line Q50 packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.

That may not put it in the same league as, say, the Mercedes-AMG C63 and company, but it does match up rather well against the C43 and its like. Moreover, it’s a 2018MY and, in the images available, the odometer is showing just 1,393 miles.

Does that make this sports sedan worth salvaging? Maybe, as we couldn’t tell by just looking at the listing. At the time of writing, though, the highest bid was $14,200 – a far cry from the $51k sticker price. So, if it can be repaired for a reasonable sum, this could turn out to be a real bargain.
