There’s just something about a no-nonsense type of supercar getting dressed up in a quirky, if not humorous manner. It shows that the owner doesn’t take him or herself too seriously, even though they have a strong appreciation for driving.

The puzzle wrap that this Porsche 911 R is wearing was designed by Stuttgart-based firm MTCHBX-DESIGNS, and applied by Schwagen Folia, a German tuner that specializes in wrapping cars. As you can see, all the pieces of the puzzle fit perfectly – well, we couldn’t resist the joke now, could we?

On a more serious note, the car still kept its original livery with the dual stripes and the branded stickers on the side. It’s almost as if the owner didn’t want it to lose its identity, which matters since the 911 R is quite a special model, even for a Porsche.

Getting a 911 R means that a. you have lots of money, since they go for insane prices these days, and b. you’ll be enjoying a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat six mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The R puts out 500 PS (493 HP) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque, which are good enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 323 km/h (201 mph).

While plenty of 911 R owners have tried to come up with special liveries for their cars, this one does sort of stand out from the rest, though if it were us, we’d probably go for the Gulf Racing one that harks back to Porsche’s 917 racing at Le Mans, the Steve McQueen movie and all that iconic stuff etched in our memories.

Update: The crew at Schwagen Folia kindly asked us to remove the Porsche 911’s pictures as they were “not allowed to post / share pictures online of that car”
