A bold concept car, reportedly a Renault, has been spied during an official photo shoot on the streets of Barcelona.

These images were sent to us by Carscoops reader Cadox and were originally snapped by a member of the Cochespias forums.

The photographer claims that the futuristic vehicle was being driven around with a remote control in full view of locals passing by.

As for the vehicle’s design, it is truly eye-catching. Most likely featuring an all-electric powertrain, the concept can be seen with wheels that have been seamlessly incorporated into the bodywork. Additionally, there are no obvious side doors. Instead, there simply appears to be large glass panels on either side, which probably double as doors. It is interesting to say the least. Think of a combination between the Mercedes-Benz F 015 Luxury In Motion Concept and a vehicle from Tron.

If what we are looking at is indeed a concept from Renault, it may serve as an example of what the French manufacturer believes the car of the future may look like. While this example is reportedly remote-controlled, the concept may be promoted as having an advanced autonomous driving system, too.

As to when it will be officially launched, we expect the futuristic concept to make its global premiere at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
