Regardless of what type of car you’re in, your grip will, at best, only be as good as the condition of the surface you’re driving on allows. It’s a pretty simple concept, really, and yet it’s one that way too many drivers seem to ignore on a regular basis.
Here we have another driver who failed to adjust his speed to the weather conditions outside. Unfortunately, his vehicle wasn’t the only one damaged.
While we don’t know exactly how fast the driver of the dashcam vehicle was going, he probably should have been a lot more careful given how icy the road looks.
Just before the spin, you can see the car starting to slide around a bit, which is also something that’s noticed by the occupants. A few moments later, control is lost and it’s likely that the driver actually pressed the brake pedal after the initial slide – it’s one possible explanation of how things went down.
The good news is that the occupants of the dashcam car seemed conscious after the impact. Obviously, the bad news is that there was another vehicle involved. We hope whoever was on board got out unharmed, too.
